Photos Skin Tear
Skin Tear wounds are very common in the elderly population and usually occur following trauma to an extremity. The example on the left is an extensive skin tear with loss of tissue. There was no tissue to approximate in this case. In this case, as in most skin tears, the wound went on to complete healing with the simple application of "silvadene".
